Keep your boiler happy by checking the pressure is between 1-1.5 bar, and book that annual service if you haven’t already. A well-maintained boiler is an efficient boiler.
Give your radiators some attention – bleed out any trapped air causing cold spots, and ensure they’re not blocked by furniture. Remember to use those individual radiator thermostats to heat only the rooms you’re using.
Simple energy saving tricks can make a big difference:
– Set your thermostat between 18-21°C
– Draw curtains at dusk to keep heat in
– Check for draughts around windows and doors
– Keep your heating on low when you’re away to prevent frozen pipes
